Regarding the importance of chloroplasts

I was walking down the hall at school when I overheard some very frustrated person getting angry about cell organelles. The only reasonable explanation for this that I could deduce is that she recently took a biology test, or would soon have to, and was apparently so put off by chloroplasts that she had to shout out loud, "what the hell do we need chloroplasts for?"

This got me thinking: chloroplasts are pretty important. If we didn't have chloroplasts, plants wouldn't be able to make glucose, and, if you'll allow me to skip a few steps, the ecosystem would collapse.

Take that girl-in-hall. Chloroplasts are important.
