Vedant Misra
About Me
I am a scientist, a writer, and an aspiring entrepreneur. I believe strongly in the use of science and technology to solve the world's problems.
I studied physics, mathematics, and economics at Columbia as a Rabi Scholar. At present I study complex systems at the New England Complex Systems Institute, an independent think tank in Cambridge, MA. Broadly, I am interested in understanding emergence in a variety of social and natural systems, and in the application of mathematics to various disciplines, including complexity economics, systems biology, theoretical physics, quantitative finance, international relations, political science, and jurisprudence. I am also interested in the application of natural language processing, machine learning, and artificial intelligence to ontology learning in scientific literature.
